Split Rock Lighthouse State Park

Gaze upon miles of North Shore coastline at the daring height of 130 feet off the Split Rock Lighthouse cliffside. Take in the charming architectural design of the lighthouse and enjoy numerous activities, such as nearby walking and hiking trails that explore deeper into the beauty that northern Minnesota radiates.

Split Rock Lighthouse State Park offers:

  • River and stream fishing
  • Connectivity to 15 miles of the paved Gitchi-Gami State Trail
  • 8.7 miles of fat-bike trails
  • Miles of snowshoe trails.

Camping options include cart-in and backpack campsites.

Split Rock Lighthouse Historic Site is located in the park. The 7.6-acre Split Rock Light Station is the heart of the 25-acre historic site. The light station was built in 1910 and now sits as a National Historic Landmark.
