Bright pink splashed against stark white; the Showy Lady’s Slipper elegantly towers over other plants in the fen. A short walk with Park Naturalist from the Lady Slipper Lodge will take you to view these plants standing regal in the understory. Learn stories of this unique orchid, the state’s flower! Finish the program inside the lodge by creating a pipe cleaner replica of these exquisite flowers. Limited to 10 participants on a first-come, first-serve basis.
It is recommended to dress for ticks and mosquitos, including long pants. Meet outside the Lady Slipper Lodge, located past the ranger station on the campground road to the lakeshore. Appropriate for all ages.
