Bright pinks, whites, and, golden yellow – the moccasin flowers of the North Woods elegantly sway in wetland habitats. Drop by the Lady Slipper amphitheater to paint a lady slipper to take home. Feel free to walk to the nearby viewing enclosure to view Minnesota’s state flower, the Showy Lady’s Slipper, standing regal in the understory.
It is highly recommended to dress for mosquitos, including long pants and long sleeves. Lady Slipper amphitheater is located near the Lady Slipper Lodge, located past the ranger station on the campground road to the lakeshore.
Appropriate for all ages. Limited capacity for 20 participants painting at one time. Participants typically spend ten minutes viewing the Showy Lady’s Slipper and thirty minutes painting.
