HECK OF THE NORTH
105-MILE, 55-MILE AND 20-MILE GRAVEL CLASSIC

2023 marks the 15th anniversary of The Heck of the North! This is the event that started it all on the North Shore.

We offer three beautiful courses this year: the 105-mile course that is a true Heck classic; the 55-mile course that is equally challenging and scenic; and the 20-mile course to introduce new riders to the world of gravel cycling.

VOLUNTEER: JOIN THE SUPPORT TEAM

Our events depend on the energy and generosity of our riders, their friends, family, and fans. There are volunteer opportunities throughout Friday and Saturday at the packet pick-ups, the campground, the start area, and checkpoints. Please click the BikeReg link below to sign up. VOLUNTEER AT THE HECK

Volunteers will earn benefits based on how many hours they work:

Two hours: Official event tee shirt and free drink ticket at our sponsoring brewery

Four hours: plus free lunch at the event parking lot

Six hours: plus comped entry into future Heck events (transferrable to a family member)
