Gooseberry Falls State Park Waterfalls

Chasing Waterfalls Walking Tour: Focusing on Accessibility

Date & Time
July 18, 2026 @ 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Location
3206 MN-61
Two Harbors, MN 55616 United States

Join Park Naturalist Mic, on a tour of Gooseberry Falls State Park’s major waterfalls, in the most adaptive way, possible. On this accessible route on ADA paved trails, we will stay on level pavement, accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. There are uneven steps, and the path is slightly uphill, so some folks with extreme walking limitations might be challenged. We take it slowly.

Along the way, you will learn how the waterfalls were formed and will ponder why humans are drawn to powerful demonstrations of nature’s strength. The first overlook is one block from the visitor center. There are overlooks separated about a block apart and visitors can go as far as they prefer on a given tour.

Meet outside of the visitor center doors by program banner.

Call ahead if you have questions about the route or needs Mic could be better aware of. Free parking is available in the main, wayside rest parking lot.

Naturalist will be prepared with multiple routes or interpretive learning options. Canceled if lightning.
