Bikepacking S240 (Sub 24-hour Overnighter) with Songs & Stories by Ben Weaver

Date & Time
September 16, 2023 - September 17, 2023
11:00 am
SpokeNGear, Two Harbors MN

This is the second annual S24O and we will have a special concert and stories with Ben Weaver in conjunction with the campout. We will be posting another event just for the concert so you can just ride with us for the concert and not stay overnight or just drive up to the site for the concert and drive home. We won’t judge you!
Join us in christening a new Bikepacking Campsite at the Lake County Demonstration Forest. We’ve been carving out a little slice of Bikepacking heaven, with a first of its kind specifically for bikepacking campsite. The campsite features a primitive toilet (BWCA style) and the water source will be the Knife River. There are plenty of spaces for tents among the old-growth white pines.
FYI, we are also making the second campsite at Sonju Lake soon. Stay tuned for details. There will be a free-will offering to help offset the costs of building this new campsite. Special thanks to Ben who is taking on this new campsite at Sonju Lake as his Eagle Scout Project.
We will ride from Spokengear/Cedar Coffee/Cedaero HQ which is an easy 8 miles on mostly gravel roads. There could be an alternate longer ride if folks are interested. This is a pretty chill ride if you just want to test the waters on bikepacking. Ride what you bring, borrow a tent, sleeping bag/ sleeping pad, and go. Don’t worry about it, no one will judge you! If you just want to ride without biking with your camping gear, we will have the option to transport your gear in a van. We got you covered with as much support as you need. Just enjoy some time in the woods camping with friends.
Bring a camping stove to cook on and your favorite camping dinner and breakfast, or we will have a fire and a few brats to roast and a pot of oatmeal and coffee in the morning. If you know you are going, mark yourself as “Going” rather than just interested so we can plan accordingly. If you are just “Interested” that’s OK too.
This event is sponsored through a generous grant from Lovin Lake County!
