Wintermoon Summersun Adventures

Wintermoon Summersun is an environmentally friendly dog sledding and sea kayaking retreat lodge. We have a beautiful and peaceful 400-acre Finnish homestead located 50 miles north of Duluth, Minnesota, in the Superior National Forest.

Join us for a sled dog ride on beautiful private trails in the Superior National Forest. You will be introduced to our wonderful huskies and share information on this athletic dog breed, their similarities with their wolf ancestors, and their mushing culture. A little over 100 years ago, John Beargrease delivered mail by a dog team along the North Shore of Lake Superior, and dogsledding still beckons one to a simpler time immersed in nature. The feeling of mushing with these amazing sled dogs through the pine and birch forest is peaceful, exhilarating, and timeless.
