At Thompson Beach, located about 15 miles north of Two Harbors, you’ll find a pebbly, secluded Lake Superior shoreline. This beach is only accessible by hiking off the Gitche Gami State Trail or via boat or kayak. It’s about a 2.4-mile paddle from Gooseberry Falls State Park and less than one mile from Iona’s Beach. You’ll also find a few primitive campsites here.
