Sand Lake Rustic Campground

Sand Lake Rustic Campground provides two campsites set in a grove of cedar along the shore of Sand Lake.  The campsites are directly adjacent to the turnaround at the end of the road. They also share carry-down canoe access to the lake.  

The road leading to the campsites is partly a two-track low-maintenance road; however, it is flat and easily driven.  This camping area is not recommended for RV use due to the road’s limitations and the restrictive turning space at the end of the road.

NOTE: Although the Sand Lake Rustic Campground is located in the Kawishiwi District, it’s closer to the Isabella Work Station office.  We recommend you visit the Kawishiwi or Isabella offices as resources for further information.
