Iona’s Beach Scientific & Natural Area

Address
3548 MN-61, Two Harbors, MN

Iona’s Beach Scientific & Natural Area, located just north of Two Harbors, was named after Iona Lind, who owned Twin Points Resort (it formerly occupied the parking area). You’ll find beautiful beach walks, fishing, and photo ops at Iona’s Beach (also known as “Pink Beach”).

To access the beach, park in the adjacent Twin Points Protected Access (boat launch) and hike a short distance to see the unique Lake Superior shoreline featuring pink rhyolite slabs polished by waves into flat pebbles or “shingles.”
