Cooter Pottery

Dick and Debbie Cooter create and sell wood-fired stoneware, handwoven rugs, blankets, and clothing at their home studio. Generally, the studio is open for viewing between 10 am – 5 pm.

Dick Cooter creates sturdy and bold pots that reflect the producttion processes. The pottery features simple decoration to enhance the rich surface generated by long wood fires. mpressions made in the soft clay reveal the artist’s tie to his work.

Cooter may choose labor intensive methods, but considers myself a production potter
