Agate Bay Beach
Agate Bay is a rocky lakeside beach with a long pier leading to a lighthouse. It offers a newly renovated boat ramp with some of the best scenic views on the shore. Agate Bay also provides an excellent spot to watch big iron ore ships enter the harbor. You’ll also find the historic Two Harbors Lighthouse, built on Agate Bay in 1892 and remains the oldest operating lighthouse on the North Shore. The Lake County Historical Society operates the popular Lighthouse Bed & Breakfast and offers tours of the tower and grounds.
